SuzukiMusic judging Seasonal Card Campaign Saturday, September 29
SuzukiMusic's Seasonal Card competition will be judged on Saturday, September 29 at Perez Hall, University of Ottawa. All SuzukiMusic students have had a chance to submit their drawings.
SuzukiMusic is very pleased with the expert judging panel (see details below). The jury will select up to five designs for SuzukiMusic's Seasonal Card campaign. SuzukiMusic families will sell cards in the community. SuzukiMusic hopes to raise $10,000 on sales of 2,000 sets of 15 cards @ $10 each set. Proceeds will be used to fund workshops, instrument purchase, and student bursaries.
We are currently seeking sponsors to help defray printing costs and make this fundraising effort more successful. SuzukiMusic is also looking for retail venues in the National Capital region to assist in selling these special cards.

SuzukiMusic, one of Canada's largest Suzuki music schools, is a parent volunteer-run music school, following the Suzuki method of music instruction. It has over 300 families registered across the city, from all faiths and including special needs children. Its board of directors contracts with professional Suzuki music instructors to provide individual and group music lessons. Individual lessons are offered in a teacher's home studio. A parent, who also acts as a home teacher and promoter of daily practice, always accompanies the child to lessons.
The Suzuki Method is founded on two principles: that children ought to learn to play music before they begin to read, much like they learn any language, and that children may become fully open and loving people through the universal language of music.
